What is waning insulin?
Sometimes high morning blood sugar may also be caused by insufficient insulin the night before. Like, if your insulin levels fall too low overnight, then obviously your blood sugar will rise. The reason behind the drop on insulin may vary from person to person, but it more commonly occurs when your long-acting insulin dose is too low or if you are using an insulin pump and the pump setting provide too little basal insulin overnight, it may cause high sugar in morning.
Now the question arises—how can it be managed and controlled?
When you talk with your doctor, he will recommend more medicine or might increase the doses. But, what I think, if I can control this by managing diet and lifestyle, then why don’t we go for this option. It is always better option.
